Commercial Disabled Access Packages
This is an example of a commercial disabled access package. Wheelchair users should be able to approach, transfer to, and use the sanitary facilities provided within a building.
Consideration should be made for the positioning of equipment for both wheelchair and ambulant users and comply with the NZBC Clause G1/AS1 Acceptable Solutions for people with disabilities.
1. Shelving
One large and one small acrylic capped ABS shelves with drainage slots and stainless steel supports.
2. Lever
The large spatulate lever is ideal for wheelchair users and can be situated on the correct open side of our cistern.
3.Backrest
With this low level system W.C. N&C Phlexicare supplies a colour contrasted padded backrest.
4. Drop Down Rail
A sturdy colour co-ordinated drop down rail.
5. Toilet Seat
A quality toilet seat with high colour contrast, unique stabilising buffers, plus stainless steel hinges for added strength.
6. Raised Height Pan
At 480mm to the top of the seat, this large footprint pan offers the ultimate in stability.
7. Colour Contrast
Colour contrast is most important in the design of your Document M Accessible Toilet, ensuring that the grab rails and seat are highly visible.
Cistern complete with screw down lid for extra safety and security.
8. Audio/Visual Alarm with Visible Reset Button
The Phlexicare emergency alarm has a red pull cord plus the required two red 50mm bangles. (BS8300 February 2009).
9. Accessories
This package consists of automatic hand dryer, soap, paper towel and toilet tissue dispensers. All are easy to use and durable.
10. Grab Rails
An ergonomic design with a slip-resistant grip, nonconductive, deep blue for colour contrast & concealed fixings. The 5th grab rail is fitted to the inside of the toilet door.
11. Thermostatic Mixer Tap
This TMV3 Thermostatic basin mixer tap is an integrated solution that will prevent hand scalding.
12. Basin
The gently rounded basin with a fully glazed underside, is ideal for wheelchair users and handed tapholes enable the correct positioning of the tap nearest to the W.C. pan.
13. Extra Basin Bracket
An extra basin bracket is supplied with the Classic MPack for added support.
CareElements – 150 Series Nursing Bench – Adjustable Height
Where people need to be changed or showered lying down, it is important that the bench can be lowered to a suitable height for side transfer, for example from a wheel chair, and then raised to a comfortable and safe working height for the carer.
A range of showering and nursing benches with PVC coated canvas stretchers, suitable for Changing Places facilities, school hygiene rooms and home adaptions. Maximum weight limit 150 kg.
When mounted at the recommended height, the height of the nursing bench can be adjusted from 500 to 900mm above floor. Including remote control.

In situations where a person needs to be bathed while lying down, it is important that the nursing bench can be lowered to a suitable height for transfer, for example from a wheelchair, and then raised to a suitable working height for the carer. It is equally important to ensure that the bench is sufficiently comfortable and safe.
The electrically powered nursing bench can be adjusted by 700mm simply by using the remote control. Comfortable surfaces – the bench, the end caps and the safety rail brackets are covered with polyurethane foam. The slightly curved form makes the bench extremely comfortable and safe.
The water collection tray is equipped with an integrated water outlet that prevents water from splashing on carers or the floor.
The integrated gas cylinder enables the bench to be folded easily against the wall when not in use to maximise floor space.
